I know where you dwell, where Satan’s throne is. Yet you hold fast my name, and you did not deny my faith even in the days of Antipas my faithful witness, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells.

Do the principalities and powers of darkness who rule in heavenly places occupy literal thrones? Does Satan himself have a throne located in a specific geographic location on the earth?
According to the Lord’s letter to the church in Pergamum, Satan’s throne is concentrated somewhere along the western coast of modern day Turkey. The Bible teaches the concept of cosmic geography, especially in regard to the spiritual forces of evil that rule over the nations and their territories.
If Satan’s throne is in some way tied to the modern territory of Turkey, then perhaps Turkey will play a central role in the great tribulation and the final battle of Armageddon on the Day of the LORD.
